7 habits you should quit ASAP!

  1. Sitting too much

Downtime is good for your body and mind, but being too sedentary can be dangerous for your health. Make time to move, aim 150 minutes of moderate cardio every week (21 minutes/day).

2. Regularly drinking yourself to a hangover

A drink or two is fine, but routinely drinking too much can contribute to chronic diseases like liver cirrhosis, pancreatitis and various cancers.

3. Using your phone before bed

The blue light that emits from electronics can disrupt your body’s sleep patterns. Disconnect before bed, you will sleep better and fall asleep faster.

4. Smoking

Quitting is easier said than done, but you will live longer and lower your risk of cancer.

5. Complaining nonstop

Complaining may feel god sometimes, but you are not actually fixing anything when you do it. Insead redirect your attention to the good and start working on a possible solution.

6. Comparing yourself to others on social media

No one’s life is exactly what it seems like on social media (Read my post about the real life of bloggers). Browse mindfully by reminding yourself this: unfollow accounts that always make you feel bad, and take a moment to remember all the awesome things you have going on in your own life.

7. Setting unrealistic goals

Take smaller steps and introduce change slowly, you are more likely to create healthy habits. Cutting out the bad habits takes time. With consistency and willpower you will be on your way to a better you.

What habits do you want to stop?
