Social media detox for entrepreneurs

Take a break from social media if this is your business? Sounds so crazy and imposible to do because you think you will lose a lot of money and your business will fall into the forgotten black hole of social media.

Actually, you don’t need to be on social media ALL day long because if you really look at your online behavior you will notice that all these hours are used scrolling and not really working on your business. So staring at the screen for so many hours don’t really help your business and most of the time is a distraction from the real work and a waste of time.

So try this little experiment: quite social media for a week, 2 weeks, 30 days or even for the weekend and see what happens. Most likely you will pay attention more on the world around you, you will spend more time with your family and friends and you will pay attention to the cars on the street to don’t hit you because you don’t have your face glued to the screen anymore 😆

You can also notice that your eyes feel less tired because they got a smaller dose of blue light and got more sunlight. You finally have the time to read that book you always wanted to read because now you have a few free hours.

And of course if your business is online you can still be present on social media but without spending hours scrolling. The secret is to use a scheduling tool, something like Later which I use to schedule my social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest). You can schedule all the posts in one day without checking social media for 1 second. So you still do your business work for social media, but have a lot of time to relax, read, visit friends, discover new hobbies.

Try a little social media detox even though you run your business online and let me know in a comment how things went ☺️
